How Will the Rahu and Saturn Conjunction Affect Your Life from March 29 to May 18?

Rahu and Saturn are meeting up in Pisces from 29 March (although the fantastic Narasimha Rao has calculated Saturn entering Pisces on 20 March already), according to the Vedic system of astrology. Imagine Saturn as that friend who always tells you to do your homework and be responsible, while Rahu is like that other friend who's always suggesting exciting, sometimes a bit risky, adventures.

Pisces, meanwhile, is like a big, deep ocean of feelings and dreams. So, when these three get together, it's a pretty big deal! It might mean that we all feel a bit like we are learning some tough lessons, like when you have to clean your room even though you'd rather be playing. There could be times when things feel a bit confusing, like when you're trying to understand a really complicated video game.

But, it's also a time when we might start thinking more about bigger questions, like why we're here and what's important in life, almost like having a really long, thoughtful conversation with yourself. Because Pisces is all about feelings and dreams, this meeting could also cause some big changes in the world around us, maybe even making things a little wobbly for a while. It’s like when you’re building a tower of blocks, and you have to be extra careful not to make it fall down.

The last time the two met in Pisces was in 1968.

1968 was an intense year. Just to give you an idea:

  • The Vietnam War:

    • This war was a huge deal, and it caused a lot of protests, especially in the United States. The "Tet Offensive" was a major event where North Vietnamese forces launched a bunch of surprise attacks. This made a lot of people question the war, and it really shook things up.

  • Civil Rights Movement:

    • Sadly, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in April. This led to widespread riots and a lot of pain. But, the Civil Rights Act of 1968 was passed, which was a big step towards equal housing.

  • Political Assassinations:

    • In addition to Martin Luther King Jr. Robert F. Kennedy, who was running for president, was also assassinated. This was a really sad time for the United States.

  • Student Protests:

    • Students all over the world were protesting about different things, like the Vietnam War and social issues. There were big protests in places like France and Mexico.

  • The Prague Spring:

    • In Czechoslovakia, there was a period of political change called the "Prague Spring," where people wanted more freedom. But, the Soviet Union sent in troops and stopped it.

  • The 1968 Election:

    • In the United States, Richard Nixon was elected president. This election was really important because it changed the political landscape of the country.

  • Global Unrest:

    • 1968 was a year of global unrest, with protests and social movements happening in many different countries.

Essentially, 1968 was a year of big changes and a lot of tension. There was a lot of conflict, but also a lot of people fighting for change.

So, like last time, it's a good idea to try and stay calm and balanced during this time, like when you take deep breaths before a big test. It's important to remember that everyone experiences these things differently, just like how some people love roller coasters and others prefer carousels.

When Saturn enters Pisces, he is in the nakshatra of Burva Bhadrapada, the "early blessed one". Imagine the night sky as a giant picture book, filled with stories written in stars. One of those stories is about a group of stars called Purva Bhadrapada. It's like a special constellation, a pattern of stars that tells a tale. In this story, the stars represent big changes and transformations, like when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. It's a bit like a superhero's origin story, where they go through a difficult time and come out stronger and wiser.

The stars of Purva Bhadrapada are also connected to wisdom and thoughtfulness, like a really good teacher who helps you understand important things. They can represent someone who thinks deeply about life and tries to learn from their experiences. There's also a connection to fire, not in a scary way, but more like a powerful force that can purify and cleanse.

To help us understand this star story, people use symbols. One of the symbols for Purva Bhadrapada is the front two legs of a funeral cot. Now, that might sound a bit gloomy, but it's not meant to be. It's more about showing that change is a natural part of life, like when seasons change or when we grow older. When you hear about Purva Bhadrapada, think of it as a story about transformation, wisdom, and the natural cycle of change, written in the stars.
